Facebook Timeline for Brands
So by now you've probably upgraded your Facebook profile to the brand new, and slightly controversial, Timeline. Well now it's time for your business page to get the new look too...
On the 31st March all pages will automatically be switched over, whether you're ready or not, so it's worth taking some time to get yourself prepared.
The first thing to get sorted, is your cover photo. This is the first thing visitors will see as they visit your page, so you want something that will create a good first impression. Why not get creative with this space, edit your image so it includes your telephone number and website address, give visitors a call to action at every opportunity.
Your details have been moved to directly below the cover photo, so will be the next thing any visitor will see, so get a full description on there, get the list of products/ services updated and make sure the contact details are correct. You don't want to risk potential customers phoning the wrong number or sending an email to a non-existent address.
You can now add company milestones, which can be a great way of making your brand seem more personal. You could add anything from when you moved into new premises, to when a new member of staff joined you or a new product was launched.
If you're like us, and have some custom welcome pages created for your Facebook, then don't worry, these are still accessible. They just appear at the top, under your cover photo. If it's not displaying what you want, then don't worry, you can easily edit this and make it perfect for your brand.
